Now that Nike has made its presence felt inside the Octagon, it looks like the Swoosh could have some serious competition from another major sportswear brand in the near future. In a post UFC 159 interview with MMAJunkie.com, UFC President Dana White revealed that the promotion will be meeting with Reebok this week to discuss a major sponsorship opportunity. What’s involved in the deal and will it actually come to fruition? Only time will tell. However, Reebok has made a few moves in the MMA world as of late, first by signing Rampage Jackson to a sponsorship deal outside the Octagon, and most recently announcing sponsorship deals with both Johny Hendricks and Jamie Varner. Although Rampage wasn’t allowed to wear Reebok inside the Octagon when he fought Glover Teixeira at UFC on FOX 6 back in January, it looks like we might be seeing the brand inside the Octagon after all. Stay tuned for more info on the potential Reebok UFC sponsorship deal as things unfold, along with more news to follow on the brand’s involvement with Hendricks and Varner.
