Following plenty of rumors and speculation over the past few months, UFC and Reebok have announced a uniform partnership that’s set to launch in July 2015. With the Reebok UFC Uniform deal in place, this means that all UFC fighters will be seen sporting the major global footwear and sports apparel brand inside and around the cage during UFC events and the surrounding festivities. The 6-year sponsorship policy will start the week of July 6, 2015 which coincides with International Fight Week (IFW) in Las Vegas, Nevada, making Reebok the UFC’s exclusive uniform supplier and commercial outfitter moving forward as of that date.
Although UFC fighters will still be able to maintain sponsorships outside of UFC events, they will no longer be permitted to wear independent sponsors during the fight or the promotion leading up to it. The deal is said to benefit all of the approximately 500 rostered fighters with a pay structure based on a tiered ranking system, from up-and-coming competitors to all of today’s top stars and champions, with numerous UFC Reebok Uniform designs being unveiled in Spring 2015. Although we’ve seen champs like Johny Hendricks and Anthony Pettis wearing Reebok as of late, you can be sure to see much more of the major global footwear & sportswear brand inside and around the Octagon in 2015. Stay tuned for more info on the UFC Reebok Uniform partnership to follow as additional details are unveiled in the coming months.
