Nike has teamed up for a second time with boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao on the Nike “Light’s Out” Air Trainer 1, in honor of Pacquiao’s dominating knockout victory over Ricky Hatton on May 2, 2009. The tricked-out trainer includes Nike Flywire technology, Manny Pacquiao “MP” co-branding, plus flashy glow-in-the-dark Nike Swoosh, laces, midsole and outsole to further compliment the “Light’s Out” nickname.
In addition to the clever glow-in-the-dark feature, the signature sneaker also includes a tongue tag reading “Pac-Man Knows”, a throwback to the classic “Bo Knows” Bo Jackson Nike campaign from back in the day, plus removable Manny Pacquiao themed sockliners and co-branded shoe box.
The special edition release was available in limited quantities only on September 25th, at Nike Park Fort in the Philippines, a tribute to Pacquiao’s Filipino roots.
