While August was a pretty stacked month for fight fans, September is shaping up to be just as crazy with Season 12 of The Ultimate Fighter: Team GSP vs. Team Koscheck about to kick-off, UFC Fight Night 22: Marquardt vs. Palhares going down in a few days and UFC 119: Mir vs. Cro Cop capping things off at the end of the month. While we wait for the madness to ensue, let’s recap a few of the best things to have hit the MMA clothing and culture scene over the past week or so.
TapouT Radio – Punkass and Scrape Discuss the Sale of TapouT:
Hands down the hottest topic of the week, Authentic Brands Group LLC acquiring TapouT, Silver Star and HITMAN Fight Gear made quite a bit of noise in the fight world. While the news itself was pretty impressive, it was even more interesting listening to Punkass and Skrape discuss the entire deal in depth, along with an overview of what’s in store for the future of TapouT. Jaco Tenacity II Crest T-shirt:
Being a fan of clean design, especially when it comes to tees, the entire Jaco “Crest” T-shirt collection is looking mighty impressive, with the Tenacity II Crest style leading the way. Nothing too crazy, just a simple graphic on the chest, with a smaller Tenacity logo hit on the back. To top things off, the collection also includes an entire series of styles dedicated to the USA, Brazil, Mexico, Hawaii, Philippines and more.

UFC Presents WEC: Aldo vs. Faber on DVD and Blu-ray
Being fortunate enough to have attended this event live in person back in April (click here for the full recap), Aldo vs. Faber on DVD or Blu-ray is a definite must in my books if you’re a true fight fan. Let’s face it, WEC fighters bring the action each and every time. Being the first WEC inspired pay-per-view event in history was even more incentive for the fighters to let loose inside the Octagon. If you need proof, just watch Leonard Garcia vs. “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung a couple of times and you’ll see where I’m coming from.
World Over Easy T-shirts:
MiddleEasy.com dropped the bomb on us this week with the launch of their new online store WorldOverEasy.com. Being a fan of clever T-shirt design, this is the spot to pick up some of the most exclusive MMA tees on the planet including tribute styles in honor of the fight game’s wildest characters like Genki Sudo, War Machine and Wallid Ismail. Do yourself a favor and check out the first four additions to the new World Over Easy online store by clicking here.
VXRSI “Unite” T-shirt:
Mixing a perfect blend between MMA and street fashion, VXRSI has been pumping out a solid assortment of graphic tees as of late. One of the best new additions from their latest collection is the “Unite” T-shirt, a style that shows a bit love for America, Brazil, Japan and Russia by uniting each country flag within a clenched fist design. Click here to check out the complete VXRSI Fall/Holiday 2010 collection including a wide variety of tees, hoodies and hats.
